Broken Leg at Twister Canyon
Просмотров 4216 месяцев назад
A broken leg in Twister Canyon was not the plan & glad to make it out in a nick of time. Rains were forecasted for the afternoon but we had heaps of time to complete a short canyon. What we didn't allow was the time to get an injured canyoner out (3 hours) & the quantity of rain that fell in a very short amount of time 40mm compared to the weather forecasted 5mm. Not much video post injury othe...

Jugglers & Grand Canyon - Blue Mountains
The scrub looks fairly open after the fires a few years ago...wonder what its like now after a few wet years.
@@stevephelps6962 the spur that was walked was good but surrounding bushland is pretty overgrown.
Respect. I know the country.
Love seeing these drone movies Jamie!
Awesome mate
I'm keen to go back over the cooler months & hike the gorge for a couple of days 👍
Swimming so tiring glad I am not only one.
loved it - watched it all the way through! I had to stop doing what I was doing so I didn't miss anything. Thanks for taking the time to capture the adventure.
Awesome! Thank you!
That looks fun. Nice one Jamie
Thanks 👍 It was a fun little canyon
There was an old toboggan did you see the old concrete yeah well that’s was the old toboggan from when big banana was old but they had updated because 6 people died on it sadly
I did'nt know that
That is amazing We seen you guys leave from the Bluff How did you and Samuel go with the waterfalll just up from Wild Bull. Didn’t seem to recognise in footage?
For some reason I'm not getting notified of comments & just seen your question. its a grade 3 drop on river right in the footage. Marked as a waterfall on maps but mearly just a water funnel.
Looks amazing Love it out there
It really is!
Love that spot, so good. 🤙🏼
🤙 top spot
Are you even from this area???
It's basically my backyard.
WTF! Don’t give away locations!!!
good luck finding it
Mate I’ve been going there for years!!! That’s why I’m pissed you keep posting locations!!! It’s like giving away secret surf breaks …you just don’t do it!!!
Seriously dude can you stop giving away sacred locations!!! 🙄
once again. good luck finding it. Do you have the skills?
great fun Jamie wish I was young
Age is just a number :)
i almost drowned on that river i overturned my kayak between the bank and a submerged tree i couldn't get free because the kayak was on my head because the current was rushing towards me
You always have to be carefull. Doing a swift water rescue course helped me know the dangers & how to avaid them
Hey mate, this looks amazing! Is it in Aus?
Yes, it is! Thanks :)
Nice video Jamie, you captured our little slice of paradise well. Was great to meet a fellow canyoning youtuber :)
Hi there, great video, I so need to do it :). I hope Hayley's foot is on the improve.
It's definitely a fun canyon without the need of ropes. You can continue into Rocky Creek Canyon for a longer day like we had planned. Thanks for your wishes 🙏
Loved this !! Great vid and experience.
Glad you enjoyed it!
hey croc do you remember me i did a trip down the Nymboida river with you for a school camp pls reply 😋
Hey there, sure do :) Hope you always remember it
Hey Jamie, quick question, what dirtbike did you use to ride?
As in motorbike? Ive had a few. But MTB I ride a Giant Anthem Advanced X with upgraded suspension
Hey Jamie, quick question, what dirtbike did you use to ride?
hey @liampetrou-kemp765 I have had a few motos in the past. My last was a Yamaha WR450F
Hi, We just went there a few days ago, and we couldn't figure out how to get to the bottom of the fall. There doesn't seem to be any visible track from the top, nor could I find any other trail on the map leading to the fall bottom. Would very much appreciate the tip please :)
sounds like you were posibly at the wrong falls? There is a track
@@JamieMakesFitnessFun I'm sure the same: on Bril-Bril Creek, accessed via N Snowy Rd. Your drone footage shows the one I meant. Where is the tack down? It's sheer cliffs covered with thick bush on both sides as far as I could check safely. But you did it with the kid so there must have been a relatively easy track down! Now I'm waiting for suitable weather to try finding the way to the Falls bottom from the downstream side, scrambling through the creek. Any better tips please :)? cheers
@@sergy5337 If you want to get to the other falls on Bril Bril you're best with some abseiling skills. To get to the bottom of Punchbowl you go down the gully / track river left
did you ever get to lower falls mate? Im a bass fisho and do a lot up that way and been eyeing that off for a few years now. Would love to see photos of it but theres not much about.
An advanced V6A5 canyon leads to the lower falls. I will do it one day.
Haha... Yep, very chilly water up there. 😂
I live in Sancrox right near there I live 10 minutes from stoney aqua park
Great hike. Good confidence builder for your comrades. I often wonder if the damage from the fires 20 or so years ago will ever lead to regeneration. I remember driving along the trail to Spokes many years ago (before NP stopped maintaining it). About 40 years ago you could drive up to Banda as well. Awesome views from both locations.
Yeh I drove it years back also. It's all grown back now but there is evidence of an intense fire. The group loved it
Yeah I go there every year
beautiful scenery, where is this?
on the Mid North Coast of NSW, Australia. It is a magic spot.
Looks great Jamie, I am planning to head to Werrikimbe this weekend so you have given me some ideas for my adventure ride.
Happy to help in any way. There are so many options out there to explore
Where is the entry and exit points please?
Hope this helps. The GPS was started a little late, so it leaves from the bridge & only runnable after big rains. strava.app.link/OTf6nwKfZAb
buddy- Love it!nie trip~adios!)
Funny that went to big banana yesterday it was going on the rides water slides were great
How long does it take to get from the plat to the cod hole mate
Really depends on the river flow, skill level & group size but on average around 4hrs
Nononononononono,nono 😢😮
W❤️W! That’s Incredibly Awesome! Cheers!🥂❤️✨
I have cheese
Oh no you're doing so well. Lucky that wasn't quick sand.
Not a bad fall there mate, besides landing right in the biggest puddle there, nice work with your endurance with those power levels!
Thanks 👍
Very cool
Check you out Royza! Having fun in the great outdoors, I would recognise that smile and those legs anywhere 😏🤭 Xx

thats unreal guys, Hayley your so brave :) 😃
Oh my …. Absolutely beautiful thanks for sharing this magnificent exsperience little bro & Hayley ❤
Got some flow to it, feels very 1k, am I on the right track Mr Wilson?
I think it's worth 1.5k for a one way ticket
@@JamieMakesFitnessFun lucky it’s only 69km long, 1.5k is about 40 or so day trips #commitment
I need to go here, dont expect you to give out locations but just a stab in the dark when i say behind wauchope?
Some places are just best left secret for those that love the challenge of exploration 🙂
